River City Bank announces the appointment of Ashley Ellington as Banking Officer in the role of Relationship Manager. Ellington comes to River City Bank from The Community Foundation of Greater Rome where she was a founder and the first Executive Director.
“Ashley brings to the bank a knowledge and genuine love of Rome and Floyd County which we believe will translate to building on our existing reputation of personal relationships and customer service,” said Roger Smith, President and CEO of River City Bank.
Ellington has been a resident of Rome since 2005 and has work experience as Chief Development Officer at Darlington School, as a strategic planning consultant for multiple local non-profits, and as a freelance grant writer. She has served the community as President of the Junior Service League, on multiple boards including the Davies Shelter and the Rome Symphony Orchestra. Ellington is an active member of First Baptist Church of Rome where she is a Deacon, Bible study leader and member of the sanctuary choir. She earned advanced degrees from Harvard University and Vanderbilt University.
“We are excited to welcome Ashley to the River City Bank team,” said King Askew, Chair of the Bank’s Board of Directors. “Her previous work experience exemplifies her ability to build solid relationships, which we consider the essence of successful community banking and what we aim to do everyday at River City Bank.”
