David Tomlin

Senior Vice President, Trust

David joined River City in August, 2009 as a financial consultant. Due to his tremendous experience in estate planning and investments management, River City is delighted to have David’s expertise as the Trust Department Manager.

David graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance, and is a graduate of UGA’s law school. He practiced law for nine years, specializing in estate planning and business transactions before moving into the investment business in 1999. David specializes in multigenerational planning and uses his experience and expertise to benefit his clients. David builds strong relationships with his clients that make him a trusted and sought after advisor.

He has been community-oriented through his years in Rome, serving as Seven Hills Rotary President, a member of the Board of Directors for the Davies Shelter, and a member of Young Life’s committee. He has also served as American Red Cross Board Chair and Capital Campaign manager, and Floyd Healthcare Foundation Chair of the Planned Giving committee. David has volunteered at Shorter College as a mentor, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and held numerous leadership roles with St. Mary’s Catholic Church & School. He and his wife, Julie, and their three daughters live in Rome.
